Sierra is a Licensed Professional Counselor experienced in providing evidence-based individual therapy and group therapy to a diverse group of individuals with a focus on those who have experienced trauma and crime-related victimizations. Sierra has experience with working with underprivileged individuals, those in the LGBTQIA+ community, and other marginalized populations. Her clinical interests include trauma, self-esteem, identity development, and sexual health/reproduction concerns.

Sierra comes from a person-centered approach, with a firm belief in autonomy and self-fulfillment and working alongside in collaboration with students throughout the therapeutic process. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Collaborative Approach in Managing Suicidality (CAMS), QPR, and has knowledge of other modalities needed to fit individualized needs.

Sierra has a passion for supporting students through traumatic parts of their history and being able to move forward in healing. In addition to clinical experience, Sierra has a background in training individuals on basic counseling and support skills, CAMS support, Sexual Health and Education, and experience with working alongside community partners and multidisciplinary teams in supporting the whole student. Sierra also has experience in teaching at the collegiate level and enjoys using art and movement in sessions.
